Danny Mikhail
Founder & CEO
Danny Mikhail’s entrepreneurial passion ignited at 13, propelling him to numerous successful exits. He started his journey by exploring day-trading technology stocks, which led to his early triumph. At 18, he became the youngest Papa John’s franchisee in the company’s history and spearheaded sales and marketing efforts at multiple locations. In his early twenties, he founded a prosperous financial technology company, later acquired by Alvarez & Marsal Capital.
Formerly CEO and founder of Zuza, he led its rise and acquisition by one of the nation’s largest publicly traded companies. Currently, he serves on multiple boards and is the CEO and founder of Melka Capital, a venture capital firm. Mr. Mikhail’s journey exemplifies an unwavering commitment to transforming businesses and technology.
Kevin Prociw
Director of Development, Self Storage
Kevin is a Principal and Director of Development of Melka Capital’s self storage division. Through the course of his career, he has developed and constructed 1.4M square feet of self storage and commercial real estate throughout the United States. Having worked alongside the nation’s largest REITS and investment companies, he has become an expert in land development, finance, construction, and the entitlement process.
Kevin is an experienced general contractor and licensed real estate broker with a passion for high quality construction. His knack for vertical integration makes Melka a distinct operator and creates unmatched value for our real estate partners and investors.
A proud Arizona native and alumnus of Arizona State University, Kevin holds a degree in business and political science. Currently, he resides in Franklin, TN, with his wife of 12 years and their three beautiful daughters, choosing to embrace the charm of "country living."
Brooke Coakley
Director of Operations
Brooke is a proud graduate of Arizona State University, where she earned her degree in Business Communication. She thrives in dynamic environments and excels at translating ideas into organized plans. She places great emphasis on collaboration, recognizing the unique strengths of each team member to maximize collective potential.
Committed to ongoing improvement, Brooke is continuously seeking innovative tools and techniques to enhance Melka’s efficiency and effectiveness. Staying ahead of industry trends and embracing new technologies is not only a professional responsibility but also a passion. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys quality time with loved ones. Phillip McCollum
Board Member
Phillip McCollum, Jr. specializes in tax planning, consulting, and compliance work for privately held businesses and their owners. He’s known for connecting with people, being someone they can talk to and someone who can help them. His goal is to help people achieve solutions to their problems, whether it's addressing a client's IRS matter or assisting a client in finding ways to reduce their taxes. Before joining Henry+Horne in 2015, Phil worked as a Tax Principal at a National CPA Firm in Phoenix and as Associate Legal Counsel at the Illinois Department of Revenue.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University and his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. When he’s not working, you can find Phil spending time with his wife and three daughters, engaging in outdoor activities like hiking and running, and attending sporting events. He is a Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan and has a unique experience of once caddying for Michael Jordan during his college years.
Kurt Wood
Board Member
Kurt Wood currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Array Technologies. With over two decades of experience, he has successfully crafted and implemented financial strategies to facilitate and propel global expansion and development. Before joining Array Technologies, he served as an advisor to Brunswick Corporation and held the role of CFO at Berkeley Lights.
Prior to that, he assumed the responsibilities of Corporate Vice President of Finance and Treasury at Micron Corporation. Preceding his tenure at Micron, Kurt served as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of DriveTime Automotive Group, which encompassed DriveTime and Bridgecrest Acceptance. He has also contributed to senior finance roles at True North Venture Partners, LP, where he served as Chief Financial Officer and Partner, and at First Solar, where he held the position of Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. Kurt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
